An example of using Video VBOX in action (watch this video) Housed in a rugged plastic enclosure, the Video VBOX Lite in-car video system is designed to provide many of the features of the Video VBOX Pro, at a much lower price. It has the ability to record DVD quality video from two cameras, record stereo audio with automatic gain control, logs GPS data at 10Hz, and incorporates a real time customisable graphic overlay. Video VBOX Lite is smaller and lighter than the Video VBOX Pro, weighing just 360 grams and measuring 12cm x 12cm x 4cm. There are no special mounting requirements or heat dissipation considerations, so the box can be placed anywhere convenient inside the car. Video VBOX Lite is ideally suited for use on trackdays and can be easily transferred between cars, allowing you to compare your driving with that of your friends! The graphics are fully customisable with the supplied software, and also comes with the full Circuit Tools analysis package. To ensure reliability, locking connectors are used on the cameras and power supply, and the same 'tank circuit' as featured on the Video VBOX Pro is used to deal with un-wanted disruptions to the power supply, ensuring no loss of files. The OLED display is the perfect partner to VBOX data logging systems. It is fully waterproof and features sharp graphics and simple operation for quick and easy in-vehicle use. The OLED display has the ability to show a range of parameters, including live and max speed and g-force, as well as lap times and predictive lap times. (For an example of the predictive lap-timing in action, watch this video). It is possible to quickly switch between display modes using the Up and Down buttons. Video VBOX Lite takes the video captured from multiple waterproof cameras and combines it with a customisable graphic overlay, streaming the resulting video onto an SD card as a DVD quality MPEG4 file. A 10Hz GPS engine provides information such as circuit position, lap timing, speed (accurate to ±0.2km/h) and acceleration, whilst a single CAN channel can retrieve data such as RPM. CAN upgrades are also available to give a total of 2 (only available for systems with one active CAN) or 8 channels. The data is seamlessly integrated with real time graphics, meaning that video game style dials and gauges can be shown on the multi-camera video, with the option to fully customise the graphics using the included Video VBOX Lite Setup software. Lap by lap and comparison analysis is performed with the included Circuit Tools software. For deeper analysis you can also download VBOX Tools software after unit registration. Video VBOX Lite is also compatible with the Micro Input Module, which provides inputs for 4 analogue voltage channels and an RPM channel. Using Video VBOX Lite is quick and easy. Simply connect the cameras and the GPS antenna, insert the SD card and drive. If you need further information, please don't hesitate to contact us!
